Industry of Imagination Conferences
Created as a forum for sharing knowledge and inspiring a new generation of artists the ‘Industry of Imagination’ took place in Wellington in 2016 and 2017. The event presented a stellar line up of science fiction, fantasy and pop surrealist artists from New Zealand and abroad for a series of masterclasses, a symposium and an art exhibition.
The conference and masterclasses sold out both years and over 1000 people visited the week long art exhibition in 2016 and over 1200 in 2017.
In partnership with Massey University, Weta Workshop and Weta Digital the event was presented by ‘White Cloud Worlds’ and organised by Paul Tobin, Kate Jorgensen and Tanya Marriott.
Special guest speakers included; Sir Richard Taylor, Iain McCaig, Nathan Jurevicius, Tara McPherson, Wayne Barlowe, Vance Kovacs, Armand S. Baltazar and many more.
